Experimental Sketchbook

Hello guys, i know its been a while since i last updated my blog. Its been pretty hectic, my last semester, so much to get done and so little time; however i do have some fun stuff to show for it, a sneak peek if you will :)

Here are a few of my scanned sketches from my experimental sketchbook below, I've grown to love this process, just experimenting on a found book drawing whatever i find inspiring! enjoy!

Update on Promotional design

I have updated the promotional cards as well as designed two coasters i waited to do (they will come with a mug with my illustration on it, though you will not see it on this post).

this again is the front of my card promo, i wanted to keep the color palette to a minimal and pastel.  A whimsical with a dream kind of feel was something i enjoyed to do.

Here is the back of the card, very simple with my logo at the lower left corner.

Promo piece

so much to do so little time. Lately ive been working on getting my style set and working on my artwork a little more, taking it seriously (like an artist should!). so here are some examples on what ive been working with.

this is not the final portion of it, i still have to do some major edits here and there, but i can't wait till i finish it!

New semester, more artwork! 

Honestly, that's my favorite part of attending my classes, producing artwork and learning something new everyday! :)

Anyway, to avoid beating around the bush *is exhausted* so here below is my piece for the first project (its the beginning stage)

Project: wishing well- i was randomly given two words "loose" and "redemption"; i was to illustrate what they mean to me.

concept: i wanted to talk about prostitution.  This woman is redemptive by stripping herself off these elements, trying to let go of her past, of the position she played in life.

WARNING: the picture quality might not be the best but it is something, i will try to get a better resolution next time!

medium: ink and watercolor on hot pressed paper.

this was the final execution, however, i will make some changes soon! :)

Spring time, new beginnings ~

Ah yes! spring, one of our four temperate seasons we have here on precious earth.  i like this season (possibly more than fall ^^) A time when everything comes back to life, renewal and regrowth.  Blue skies, green grass, chirping nest birds and flowers booming(especially the cherry blossoms <3 ) are just something which we shouldn't take for granted. i don't care so much for easter though, i just like to feel the warmth of the sun in a cool day for once after so much of winter^_^

our orange tree gave us oranges yay!!

they look so yummy! ^.^

this is of course some of the many reasons why i enjoy spring! ^_^ 

lovely flower just bloomed, while the one behind is getting ready to.

this one is about to bloom^.^

i can't wait for them to be at their full bloom stage, my front yard will look even better with them opened ^_^

New Year, new update!

So here's my first and new post, way to start the new years right? yes! ^_^ im currently getting the hang of this blogging, i made this in November 2010...but just started getting into it officially..i think hahaha! well i hope everyone will have a Happy new years eve celebration & start the new year fresh again!! much love, hugs & kisses!! <3
